The Foreign Affairs Service carried out the procedure of forced removal of a French citizen for whom NCB INTERPOL issued a warrant on suspicion of criminal offenses related to terrorism, weapons and high technology, and who was qualified by the competent authority for performing security checks as a person who poses a threat to the public order and national security of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On December 30, 2023, the police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska informed the Service for Affairs with Foreigners, taking measures and actions within their competence to locate the mentioned person, that the person in question had been deprived of his liberty in the area of Trebinje, after which he was taken to the official premises of the Service for Affairs with Foreigners, where it was handed over to the Service for competent processing.

Consequently, the person in question was ordered to be expelled from the territory of BiH with a ban on entering and staying on the territory of BiH for a period of five years, after which he was placed under supervision at the Immigration Center in East Sarajevo.

The removal of the aforementioned foreign citizen was carried out by private flight from Sarajevo International Airport, where he was handed over to the officers of the National Transfer Service of the Ministry of Justice of France, who will escort the person in question to the country of origin.
