Over 77 Thousand Tourists visited the Federation of BiH in November

The total number of tourist arrivals in December 2023 in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was 77,005, which is 9.3 percent more than in December 2022, and 6.2 percent more than in November 2023. The share of domestic tourists in the total number of arrivals in December was 42.9 percent, and foreign tourists 57.1 percent.

The total number of overnight stays by tourists in December 2023 was 142,707, which is 5.7 percent more compared to December 2022, and compared to November 2023, it was 8.1 percent higher. The participation of domestic tourists in the total number of overnight stays in December was 38.2 percent, and foreign tourists 61.8 percent.

According to the type of accommodation facility, the largest number of overnight stays in December was realized within the type of hotels and similar accommodation with a share of 95.5 percent, data from the Federal Bureau of Statistics.

In the structure of overnight stays by foreign tourists, the most overnight stays in December were made by tourists from: Croatia (24.5 percent), Turkey (8.8 percent), Serbia (8.3 percent), Slovenia (7.1 percent) and the United Arab Emirates ( 5.2 percent) which is a total of 53.9 percent. Tourists from other countries accounted for 46.1 percent of overnight stays.

The number of available beds in December 2023 was 27,780, which is at the same level as in December 2022. The net bed occupancy rate for Hotels and similar accommodation in the Federation of BiH was 18 percent.
