Jusuf Nurkić, BH basketball player, was tonight’s guest with Senad Hadžifejzović.
“I didn’t play basketball until eighth grade. A man appeared out of the blue and said that I was the best child in BiH, and the only jersey I had at the time was Salihamidžić’s jersey from the flea market. In 2009, I got my first chance to play basketball in Slovenia. Enes Trnovčević literally found me. He took children that no one wanted, and he made careers for them. They told me I was great, but I had no idea what basketball was. I fell in love with a sport I never dreamed of, I never expected to do it. From the first touch with the ball, I reached the NBA in five years,” said Nurkic.
He also announced that he was launching a large project in Srebrenica.
“I wear a Srebrenica flower around my neck. My grandfather was killed and we found him in Potočari. It is incomprehensible to me that Srebrenica remained deserted after so many donations. It’s a shame for all of us. I started a project to build a school in Srebrenica where all children will be able to socialize, regardless of nationality and religion,” said Nurkic.
