The basketball team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was defeated by the Polish team with a score of 85:76 in the second round of pre-qualification for the Olympic Games.
The Poles opened the match better, scoring 6:0 with two three-pointers, but our boys quickly return to the match. However, at the end of the first quarter, Poland manages to go to plus eight (27:19). At the beginning of the second quarter, Poland led by 11, and at one point it was +13. We managed to come back, to reduce the deficit, but the Poles go to the break with 50:37.
In the third part, we managed to come back completely, at one point only three points behind (54:57) when a complete turnaround was looming, but then a new series of hosts, who make 9:0 and go to plus 12 (66: 54). With +15 points, Poland entered the last quarter. With a 6:0 series at the beginning of the last part, Poland went to +21, and only in the end did we manage to alleviate the defeat a little.
With yesterday’s victory against Portugal, the basketball players of Bosnia and Herzegovina took a big step towards reaching the semi-finals of the Olympic Games. In the third round against Hungary, we are looking for passage.
Bosnia and Herzegovina’s basketball players will play their next match in two days against Hungary, which has two defeats in the first two rounds. In the second match of the last round of the group, Poland and Portugal will play, and in the end, the two first-placed selections will win the semi-finals of the qualification for the Olympic Games.
