BiH Border Police prevented Smuggling of 22 Persons

Members of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina prevented the smuggling of 22 people of Afro-Asian origin, and arrested a citizen of the Republic of Turkey.

As it was announced, the smuggling was discovered during the surveillance of the state border in the area of Posušje, and it is about 18 citizens of the Republic of Turkey and four citizens of Iraq.

After the criminal investigation and questioning of the witnesses, the members of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office came to know that the organizer of the smuggling is a citizen of the Republic of Turkey, who, according to the order of the duty prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, is also deprived of his liberty.

The citizen of the Republic of Turkey was handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, along with the Report on the committed criminal offense of Smuggling of Persons. Members of the Service for Affairs with Foreigners of Bosnia and Herzegovina were also informed about the event.
