Members of the BiH Border Police Unit Velika Kladuša prevented the smuggling of five citizens of the Republic of Turkey on Monday.

Smuggling was prevented in the town of Hukića Brdo in the area of Velika Kladuša during the border control of a passenger motor vehicle with BiH register plates. The vehicle was driven by S.M. (1985), a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the BiH Border Police announced on Tuesday.

According to the order of the duty prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina was questioned as a suspect and a report will be submitted to this institution against him for the criminal offense of ‘people smuggling’.

According to the order of the prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, material evidence that can be used in criminal proceedings was temporarily confiscated. Citizens of the Republic of Turkey will be questioned as witnesses.
