Russian President Vladimir Putin presented North Korean leader Kim Jong Un with a Russian Aurus limousine, a tea service and an admiral’s dagger.

According to the media, this is the second time this year that Kim received this limousine from Putin, and he is the first of the heads of state to receive this car as a gift.

Kim called Putin “the dearest friend of the Korean people.” The Russian leader received various works of art as a gift, allegedly with his likeness.

The two men held a meeting today after a formal welcome ceremony during Putin’s visit to this country.
The ceremony was attended by children holding balloons and large portraits of the two leaders with national flags were placed.

Putin is making his first visit to the North Korean capital in 24 years, and the meeting could upend decades of relations between Russia and North Korea at a time when both countries face international isolation.

The partnership between these countries is “an engine to accelerate the construction of a new multipolar world,” and Putin’s visit shows the indestructibility and durability of their friendship and unity, according to a report by the North Korean state news agency KCNA.
