BiH Central Election Commission fines Three Political Parties

The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CEC BiH) today fined the SNSD, SDS and the List for Justice and Order for, as they stated, spreading false information, which undermined the integrity of the election process.

The CEC states that the SNSD was fined 15,000 BAM because the president of that political party, Milorad Dodik, “presented a series of false information about the members of the CEC and the Commission”, which he said was “non-objective and biased”, which, the CEC points out, violated the integrity of the election process.

The SDS and the List for Justice and Order were fined 12,000 BAM each because their officials, Aleksandra Pandurević and Nebojša Vukanović, as stated by the CEC BiH, presented false information about the president of the CEC Jovan Kalaba, linking it to his decision-making.

The CEC points out that it is a matter of spreading false information that threatens the integrity of the election process and misinformed voters.

At today’s session, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina also adopted an instruction on the procedure of the Municipal Election Commission responsible for conducting early elections for the mayor of Vareš, which will be held on Sunday, February 15.
