Forty-year-old citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) was brutally stabbed on the street in Marchtrenko in Upper Austria on Friday morning.

On Friday morning, in the Austrian settlement of Marchtrunk, right in front of the warehouse of construction gratings – a terrible bloody act took place on the open road. At 7:23 a.m., the police received an emergency call from a woman who said that a man was lying on the street with severe cuts. She saw a pedestrian being stopped by a car, and the front-seat passenger stabbing him multiple times. The two men then drove away, Klix.ba writes.

A large contingent of rescuers immediately rushed to Marchtrenk, and policemen with flak jackets and long barrels checked all the entrances to the town.

While the emergency services on the spot fought for the life of the 40-year-old citizen of BiH, whose identity was still unclear at the beginning because the victim did not have personal documents with him, the search for the two fugitives continued intensively.

The alleged main perpetrator, a 40-year-old Montenegrin, was recognized by the patrol in his getaway car at 8:50 a.m., and was arrested by the special Cobra unit on the A7 towards the city center. At 9:20 a.m., the suspected 19-year-old accomplice, also from BiH, was arrested without resistance in a cafe in the neighboring town of Traun. By then, the victim had already succumbed to serious injuries in the hospital.

On Friday, the motives that led to this bloody clash were not clear. During the first interrogation, the arrested were not very talkative, and the interrogations lasted the whole afternoon.

So far, there is no trace of the weapon used to commit the murder, and the motive still remains unknown, but it is possible that the victim and the perpetrators knew each other and worked together, writes Kronen Zeitung.
