Two nights ago in the restaurant “Insula” in Bihac, the first thematic meeting of the Business Club of the City of Bihac was held on the topic: Current and upcoming investments in production, service, trade and collective housing facilities in the City of Bihac.

The meeting was attended by about thirty representatives of companies that are currently investing or will soon start their investments in the area of the City of Bihac.

”Investment activity is currently taking place in the area of the city of Bihac in the form of the construction of buildings of various purposes with a cumulative value of about 170 million BAM. Certainly, a certain number of respectable investments have been completed in Bihac in the past period, just as there are certainly many ideas and intentions for investing in the future, but tonight, for this occasion, we focused only on those investments that are currently underway and those for which as a city, we have received requests for obtaining permits and will soon start new investments,” told Mayor Elvedin Sedic at the beginning of his opening address two nights ago.

”Currently, the construction of two new production plants in the metal industry is underway in Bihac, soon the modernization and expansion of two existing ones in the food industry, the construction of a new large shopping center and the extension and rebranding of one existing one, the construction of several solar power plants with larger capacities, and three new hotels. Also, the construction of a private healthcare facility is underway, ten apartment buildings are under construction, and the same number of buildings is announced to be under construction. We also have two significant investments by state public companies,” said the coordinator of the Local Economic Forum, Nihad Susnjar.

”Considering all this to be very important for the City, the first thematic meeting is dedicated to those companies and people, in order to listen to their proposals and suggestions on how to make it easier for them. Although they themselves emphasized the good cooperation with the City Administration, we believe that this communication can be further improved in this way,” added Susnjar.

The need to simplify certain procedures for obtaining documentation when obtaining permits and more intensive construction of infrastructure in parts of the city that are attractive for construction, as well as in business zones, were imposed as some of the main conclusions of the meeting.

Investors who are currently in the investment phase or in the phase of obtaining approval for construction in the production area are: Mastel CNC, Green water, Aras Consulting, Meggle Dairy (Mjekara), Djuzelic; in the field of housing construction: HM Investing, Stanovi, City Stan, Novi Stan, VukovicInzinjering, Ent Prima, Model TIM, BC Gradnja, Intermozaik, Halko, Atif Grupa, Enterio, Butmir; in the area of trade and services: Prosic-P, Ingra City Center, Bushel, Cavkunovic BP, Belamionix, and Resort Una-park; in renewable energy sources: Top-pro consulting, BC gradnja; in healthcare field: Polyclinic Muminovic, and BH telecom, Elektroprivreda, which are building their own administrative buildings.

As it was pointed out, some of the objectives of the thematic meeting of the Business Club were to present information about current significant investments in Bihac, identify the advantages and disadvantages of Bihac as a place for investment, present obstacles and challenges that investors face when obtaining permits, priorities in the construction of public infrastructure which currently does not follow their needs, and to mutually exchange opinions and experiences, present proposals, and further improve mutual cooperation and communication, Biznis Info reports.
