The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has imposed interim measures to prohibit the application of laws recently passed by the authorities of Republika Srpska.

At an extraordinary plenary session that began this morning, the Constitutional Court of BiH issued interim measures suspending the Law on Non-Application of Laws and Prohibition of Extra-Constitutional Institutions on the Territory of RS, the Law on the HJPC of RS, and amendments to the Criminal Code of RS.

The Court will issue a final decision on the constitutionality of these laws in the coming period.

Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović, Speaker of the House of Representatives of BiH Denis Zvizdić, and Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of BiH Kemal Ademović yesterday submitted an appeal to the Constitutional Court of BiH to review the constitutionality of the aforementioned laws.
