The Global Framework of Fiscal Balance and Policy in BiH has set the framework for the budget of BiH institutions for 2022, which will amount to 1,073,600,000 BAM, of which the allocation of revenues from indirect taxes for BiH is 865,500,000 BAM, and the rest is own revenues.

As the BiH Election Law stipulates the obligation of government institutions at all levels to provide assistance to the bodies responsible for conducting the election process, the Minister of Security of BiH decided, in order to ensure an atmosphere that will guarantee the maximum level of security during the entire election process, to appoint a Working Group to monitor the implementation of tasks within the competence of institutions and police agencies in BiH related to the conduct of general elections in BiH in 2022.

Members of the Working Group are representatives of the BiH Ministries of Security, Ministries of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska (RS), BiH Central Election Commission (CEC), BiH Police Coordination Directorate, State Investigation and Protection Agency, BiH Border Police, BiH Intelligence and Security Agency, BiH Brcko District Police, Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs / Federal Police Administration, and Ministry of Internal Affairs of Canton Sarajevo (CS).

”The task of the Working Group is to monitor and analyze the security situation in BiH, suggest the necessary guidelines for the actions of law enforcement agencies in BiH, undertake timely coordination through law enforcement agencies, and achieve continuous cooperation with the committees/staffs of the action for the security of general elections in BiH formed by the entity / cantonal Ministries of Internal Affairs and the Police of the Brcko District of BiH, in order to achieve maximum security conditions for unhindered election process in BiH in 2022,” it is stated in the announcement of the Ministries of Security of BiH.

They add that EUFOR, whose representatives attended the meeting, also expressed great interest in the security of the elections and the monitoring of this process, and expressed interest in attending future meetings of the Working Group as observers.

On May 4th, the CEC made a decision to call and hold general elections in BiH, which will be held on October 2nd, 2022.
