The BiH Council of Ministers established in a new text the Proposal of the basis for conducting negotiations and concluding an Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union on operational activities carried out by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Frontex), with the aim of better control of illegal migration.
In this way, the aim is to establish a legal framework for the operational activities that Frontex would carry out on the territory of BiH, and to define the modalities of operational cooperation between the EU member states and the competent authorities in BiH.
During the negotiations, the BiH delegation will take into account the official names of the institutions of BiH in order to accurately define them in the text of the Agreement.
The proposal of the basis will be submitted to the Presidency of BiH for further procedure, and for BiH. the Minister of Security was proposed as a signatory, it was reported from the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
