BiH Defense Minister Denied Claims That The FBiH Is “Arming Itself”

Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Zukan Helez denied in an interview the claims made by his colleague from the Council of Ministers of BiH, Stasa Kosarac, that drones are being “illegally produced” in Sarajevo. He took the opportunity to invite Kosarac’s superior, the president of the BiH entity Republika Srpska(RS) and a fugitive from the law, Milorad Dodik, to jointly visit the companies that produce and export drones from the Federation of BiH (FBiH) entity.

“Kosarac missed everything. I’ve never mentioned the company he refers to, nor do I know that it produces drones. There are several companies in FBiH that produce and export drones. I hereby publicly invite Milorad Dodik – together we’ll visit these companies so he can boast in the three countries he’s allowed to enter, about the level of development his country has reached,” he said.

Helez reiterated that Kosarac “completely missed the point” and that he has nothing to do with drone production…

“The only person from the RS entity I’m inviting is Dodik, we’ll record everything publicly so we can settle this once and for all,” concluded the state defense minister.

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Stasa Kosarac stated on Monday that “after an inspection, it was established that the Public Institution Center for Advanced Technologies Sarajevo is producing drones and that six unmanned aerial vehicles were found.”

He assessed that it is a case of “illegal arms production in FBiH.”

“They signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense without having permits. This is a serious affair,” said Kosarac.
