BiH Defense Minister revealed why he closely follows Events in Serbia

Helez said that the recognition of aggression and committed crimes and genocide and their condemnation by the new political leadership of Serbia would open a new page in the cooperation between the two sovereign states of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and Serbia.

BiH Defense Minister Zukan Helez says that he has been closely following the protests in neighboring Serbia for days, because, as he says, what is happening on the political scene of our neighbors is very important to us.

“Unlike the earlier protests, whose leaders were generally more radical than the current regime in power in Serbia, even though it is realistically difficult to achieve this, the current leaders of the protests still have hope for a new, better, democratic Serbia. The words of one of the leaders of the protest, writer and councilor in the Assembly of Serbia, Dejan Atanackovic, ‘those who killed Sarajevo, Vukovar, Dubrovnik are in power in Serbia‘ raise hope that those politicians will finally come to power in Serbia who will face reality and apologize for all the atrocities committed by the military and political leadership of Serbia in the 1990s on the territory of BiH and Croatia, led by convicted war criminal Slobodan Milosevic,” said Helez.

Helez told that the recognition of aggression and committed crimes and genocide and their condemnation by the new political leadership of Serbia would open a new page in the cooperation between the two sovereign states of BiH and Serbia, Raport writes.
