The Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers and the Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zukan Helez, on Monday, June 26, 2023, received the four newly appointed ambassadors of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in order to give them diplomatic guidance before leaving for their countries of service.

The Ambassador of BiH to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland H.E. Osman Topčagić, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Kingdom of Belgium H.E. Erol Avdović, Ambassador of BiH to Japan H.E. Mato Zeko and the ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Egypt H.E. Sabit Subasic.

Minister Helez stressed the efforts to speak in common positions in all diplomatic representations of BiH, to further develop bilateral relations with all countries, and to open the possibility of strengthening any cooperation for the benefit of the entire state of BiH and its inhabitants.

He particularly presented to them the most important aspects of bilateral military cooperation with the countries that stand out as the biggest partners of Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasized the multilateral and bilateral projects that most help the development and modernization of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and indicated which countries should try to cooperate more, both in terms of defense, as well as in terms of the development of the economy, culture and every other activity.

The ambassadors expressed their satisfaction with the meeting with Minister Helez and thanked him for the given guidelines, which they assessed as extremely useful. All of them expressed their views on the further development of relations with the countries in which they will serve, and Minister Helez emphasized that in their diplomatic contacts they always emphasize optimism when it comes to the Euro-Atlantic integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
