BiH Doctor passed away, He used to come to work with Oxygen

Doctor Aleksandar Babić from Trebinje, who suffered from cystic fibrosis and had Kartagener’s syndrome, died today at the age of 48 in the Clinical Center in Mostar.

The story of Doctor Babić became known a few days ago when his colleague Ivica Zdravković posted it on Facebook.

Zdravković then discovered that Babić has been coming to work every day with oxygen and that he is fighting the disease that destroyed his lungs.

Doctor Babić’s only hope was to go to Vienna to the hospital that performed the most lung transplants in recent years.

“I don’t know when and if they will answer me. And they just need to see him. To say whether they would operate on him. Is there any hope,” Zdravković wrote on November 25 after revealing that he had written to the mentioned hospital in Vienna because of the condition of his colleague.

Doctor Babić’s health condition worsened rapidly in the last few days, so he was transferred to Mostar, where, unfortunately, he died today, Klix.ba reports.
