The President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Marinko Cavara, made a decision today on the appointment of judges of the FBiH Constitutional Court.
Ajsa Softic was appointed from the Bosniak nation, Mirko Milicevic from the Croat nation, and Branimir Orasanin from the Serb nation, while Dubravko Campara was appointed from the Others.
The appointment procedure will be completed after it is confirmed by the FBiH Vice-Presidents and the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament.
“It will be submitted to the vice-presidents for approval. When the House of Peoples confirms the decision, we will have a full Constitutional Court,” Cavara said at the press conference.
The FBiH Constitutional Court has been vacant for years, because there are currently only five judges out of a total of nine in the court. Due to the incompleteness of the court, its Council for the Protection of Vital Interests is also blocked.
