Yesterday, on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, Mirza Alic from Srebrenica, climbed Mont Blanc, where the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and the Srebrenica flower were placed.

Mirza told that he traveled to the top for three days and in this way he wants to honor all the martyrs and their families.

“It was an honor for me to go through this difficult path on July 11th in honor of victims. I would like to say something important. We are forever grateful for the sacrifice of all the martyrs who fell. We must never forget Srebrenica,” he said.

He brought the flag of BiH to Mont Blanc, as well as the Flower of Srebrenica.

Mirza lost his father and grandfather in the genocide in Srebrenica, and later in 2001 he moved with his mother and sister to Switzerland, where he still lives.
