A gathering “Bosnia and Herzegovina for a Free Palestine” will be held in Sarajevo today, with the aim of raising public awareness about the situation of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

Ahead of the protest, which will be held today from 1 to 3 p.m. in Sarajevo, organized by an informal group of citizens, a strong message has been sent against aggression, occupation and violations of international law.

The protest walk “Bosnia and Herzegovina for a Free Palestine” will begin at 1 p.m. at the Monument to the Murdered Children of the Besieged Sarajevo 1992-1995, and will end in the park between the Historical and National Museums of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A short program is planned there, during which Larisa Musić will perform two songs dedicated to Palestine.

Actress Irma Alimanović will interpret Edin Krehić’s poem “The Song of a Child and Silence”. Journalist Adnan Rondić will read out requests addressed to the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The program will end with a performance of the song “Bella Ciao”. The Seljo mixed choir, the Corus Cadenza women’s choir and other volunteer singers, led by conductor Tijana Vignjević, will send a message of solidarity with Palestine with their participation.

During the protest, citizens will be able to sign the petition “Bosnia and Herzegovina for a Free Palestine”, the organizers announced.

They invited citizens to join them in the protest today, and to support the Palestinian people together.
