Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, is on an official visit to Montenegro, where he met yesterday evening with the President of that country, Milo Đukanović.

Đukanović expressed his satisfaction that Konaković is visiting Montenegro, stressing that such a quick visit is a confirmation of “our mutual good relations”.

He said that bilateral relations between BiH and Montenegro are good and friendly. He highlighted the signed agreement on the border between Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. President Đukanović also pointed out the necessity of improving the mutual traffic infrastructure, which would improve tourism, trade and economic cooperation, which is the most important chance for further development of bilateral relations.

Montenegro unreservedly stands by the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina in compliance with the Dayton Peace Agreement.

He pointed out the fact that Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro are achieving all-round institutional cooperation in numerous areas, to which they will remain committed in the coming period, and that it is a country with which we have no open issues, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH announced.
