The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, met today with Jeff Barr, Vice President of Amazon Web Services (AWS), ahead of the AWS Community Day Adria 2025 conference, which is being held for the first time in Sarajevo.

During the meeting, the importance of digital transformation and the role of cloud technologies in improving public administration, economic development and strengthening regional cooperation were discussed. Special emphasis was placed on the potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the countries of the region to become even more competitive in the European and global markets through innovation and development of the IT sector.

Minister Konaković emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina recognizes the importance of cooperation with global leaders in technology, and that AWS is an example of how innovations can stimulate the development of start-up ecosystems, small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as educational institutions.

Barr thanked for the reception and emphasized that it was his pleasure to participate in the AWS Community Day Adria, which is recognized as the largest regional event dedicated to AWS technologies.

He emphasized that the conference will be an opportunity to exchange knowledge, present the latest trends in the field of artificial intelligence, cloud solutions and security, and to connect experts and communities from across the region.

AWS Community Day Adria 2025 will be held on September 5 in Sarajevo, for which over 900 participants have registered.

Such meetings contribute to strengthening partnership relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United States of America, and represent an important step towards attracting high-tech investments, building modern digital infrastructure and strengthening the competitiveness of domestic companies in the global market, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH announced.
