BiH to get Candidate Status By June if we resolve the Issue of Election Law?

The President of HDZ BiH and Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Dragan Covic held a working meeting with representatives of the municipal organizations of the HDZ BiH in the Livno Canton.

The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Borjana Kristo, and the Prime Minister of Livno Canton Ivica Jozic.

He commented the process of amendments to the Election Law of BiH, and noted that he cannot say for sure that the necessary amendments will be adopted in the next two months with the aim to comply with the decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH when it comes to the election of members of the Presidency of BiH and the election of delegates into the House of Peoples of the FBiH.

The President of HDZ BiH added that he used this opportunity to inform the members and officials of the party about the plans regarding the foreign policy.

“I believe that we have done enough both on the internal and external plan, with the aim to motivate dominant Bosniak parties to admit the fact that further political crises will not be good for them, or anyone else,” noted Covic.

He added that BiH might get the candidate status already in June, if the problem of the Election Law is solved.

“If we do not succeed in that, we will be facing a political crisis and dealing with ourselves, and that is completely different rhetoric. Our approach is to have extremely positive attitude, and the minimum that we are asking for is that the Croat representatives are elected by the Croat people,” noted Covic.
