Sanel RedžićBiH guitarist Sanel Redžić won another important award, first place in the open category in the international competition for classical guitar in China.

The competition took place last week in the Chinese city of Changsha, and gathered the young guitarists, mostly from Asia. Redžić won the first place in the open category, with no age limit. In addition to cash prizes, he also received a concert tour in several Chinese cities, and the offer for several other tours until 2016. This is his 26th international award, out of which 10 are for the first place.

First tour should take place in Japan, which will be organized thanks to the prize that he won in December in Tokyo, one of the three world’s largest competitions in the classical guitar.
Redžić in the finals in Tokyo played a piece of Japanese composer Takashi Ogawa, that all the finalists had to play.

For Redžić the large Asian tour begins in Japan on 20th November and will last until 10 January 2014. He stressed that he expects 40-50 concerts, from which the first will be held on 14th August in Tuzla, as part of the Festival Kaleidoskop.

The following concerts are planned in Europe.

“Lately I’ve been very successful in the international scene, especially after winning the award in Tokyo. This year I have already had concerts, from which I would point out the ones in the world’s most famous hall for classical music such as Konzertgebouw in Amsterdam and a concert at the National Philharmonic Ukraine in Kiev. Also a few weeks ago I had a successful tour in Mexico, and I recorded and released a CD of German publisher KSG Exaudio”, said Redžić.

He recently completed his postgraduate studies with the highest grades. On the basis of results achieved and thanks to the involvements in concerts, recently was offered to him German citizenship and he was invited to teach at colleges in Mexico and Taiwan.
