BiH is the only Country that does not have a Vaccination Certificate

All citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina who received the coronavirus vaccine in their homeland are currently not allowed to enter the Czech Republic, and the reason for this is the fact that there is no single national vaccination certificate in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Czech Republic Martina Mlinarevic Sopta pointed out the problem of non-existence of a unified unique QR code on vaccination certificates in BiH, ie the fact that BiH citizens have certificates with QR codes issued by RS, Brčko District and each FBiH canton for themselves.

In a post on her Facebook profile, Mlinarević Sopta pointed out that at the moment “Bosnia and Herzegovina is the only country that does not have a common, national vaccination certificate.”

“We don’t have much in common, maybe someone will say now. Working from the first moment as the ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina, my work is completely joint, for our people at all times and I absolutely do not accept that they are degraded by others in any way and that this is justified by a complex political system. Even when it comes to vaccination certificates “, stated Mlinarevic Sopta.

She explains that with the deteriorating epidemiological picture everywhere, including in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic has put BiH on its dark red list to enter the country.

“At this moment, those who have valid vaccination certificates and vaccines approved by the EMA, ie the EU, can enter the country. Which will mean in the future that those BiH citizens who have been vaccinated in Serbia or Croatia or anywhere else in Europe whose certificate is recognized can enter the Czech Republic, given that the Czech Republic has made its list of countries whose certificates it recognizes “, states Mlinarević Sopta, and continues:

“We have been working with Czech institutions on this topic for days, explaining the complicated situation where our citizens have certificates with QR codes issued by RS, Brcko District and each FBiH canton for themselves, and we do not have a unified, joint certificate, nor will we have any opportunities. ”, BHRT writes.

She underlines that the Czech side and institutions are friends and partners of BiH, and while trying to find a solution for the citizens of BiH, they asked for the specimens of the mentioned certificates to be submitted, and that they expect that BiH competent authorities to send.

Mlinarevic Sopta adds that when they have information that they have included BiH on the list of countries whose certificates they recognize, the public will be informed.

“Our citizens, no matter what their name is, no matter where they live, if they have been vaccinated with vaccines recognized by the EU, deserve to be treated the same as the rest of the EU and that must be made possible for them,” concluded Mlinarevic Sopta.
