Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) handball team suffered a 20-25 loss to Czech Republic in the second round of the 2020 European Men’s Handball Championship qualifier tournament in Tuzla on Saturday evening.
In the full Mejdan Hall in Tuzla, a city located some 120 kilometers northeast of BiH capital Sarajevo, both teams played well tying at 1-1 in the 2nd minute after which the visiting team continued the lead and in 22ndminute, visiting team lead 10-7. One minute later, BiH head coach Bilal Suman called a time-out after which the visiting team took a 12-10 lead before the break.
Both teams played defensively during the beginning of the second half, after which the visiting team scored 3 goals and Suman called a time-out again at 15-11. The rest of the second half was a splendid show by the visiting team to take a 25-20.
The qualification will continue in April 2019 when BiH handball team will play two matches against Finland.
2020 European Men’s Handball Championship will take place in Jan.2020 and be co-hosted for the first time in three countries: Austria, Norway and Sweden.
