The Minister of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection in the Government of the Sarajevo Canton, Bojan Bošnjak, is under investigation on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of abuse of office or authority.

The Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office suspects Bošnjak of having given a positive opinion on the report on the strategic environmental impact assessment, with which he wanted to legalize illegal urban development projects on Bjelašnica by the suspects Ibro Berilo, the Mayor of Trnovo and his associate Nađa Milišić.

Members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Anti-Corruption Office of the Sarajevo Canton, have been searching the premises of the Cantonal Ministry of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection since this morning, BHRT writes.

As announced, the “Incitat 2” operation is being carried out based on orders from the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo and under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office.

The Prosecutor’s Office stated that documentation is being seized due to illegal construction on Bjelašnica.
