Celebrating its 245th birthday, the American people acknowledge and reaffirm their commitment to the values of the Declaration of Independence, a document that inspired the American people, but also people around the world in the fight for freedom and dignity. I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to you and the people of the United States for all that the United States has done for Bosnia and Herzegovina, its independence and freedom, as well as our aspirations to become part of the Euro-Atlantic family.
