The verdict in the case of the former commander of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) Ratko Mladic will be pronounced on November 22, 2017, as reported by BIRN.

It is a first-instance verdict on charges of genocide committed in Srebrenica and six other municipalities on the territory of BiH, persecution of non-Serb population all over BiH, terrorizing of citizens of Sarajevo and capture of members of UNPROFOR.

In their final words, the prosecutors demanded life imprisonment for Mladic, while the Defense requested an acquittal verdict.

To recall, now 74-year-old Ratko Mladic was arrested in Serbia back in 2011, after 15 years on the run.
