Zukan Helez, the Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, today welcomed the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Maria Molina Alvarez de Toledo, with whom he discussed economic relations and strengthening of trade exchange.
The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere and served as an opportunity to further reaffirm the good and friendly relations between Bosnia Herzegovina and Spain, as stated by the Public Relations Office of the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Helez thanked the Kingdom of Spain for its continuous support to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its Euro-Atlantic path, as well as for the significant role Spain had within the international security forces present in Bosnia and Herzegovina after the war. This support and contribution to the security of Bosnia and Herzegovina remain permanently appreciated.
Possibilities for improving economic relations and strengthening trade exchange were discussed. It was also emphasized that friendly and political relations between the two countries are at a high level, and that there is significant room for enhancing economic cooperation accordingly.
Particular attention was paid to strengthening cooperation in the defense industry, focusing on the import of components from Spain needed by the domestic industry.
The countries expressed mutual readiness to further intensify cooperation in the coming period and to concretize initiatives of mutual interest.
