BiH Minister of Defense Spoke with Military Attache of Sweden

The BiH Minister of Defense Zekerijah Osmić received the inaugural visit of Colonel Thomas Klementsson, the military attaché of Sweden to BiH with a seat in Belgrade.

During the meeting, Minister Osmić recalled that Sweden was one of the important partners in the Peace Support Operations Training Center (PSOTC).

Minister Osmić expressed his appreciation for the contribution of Sweden to the peace process in BiH. He emphasized the importance of the “Perspektiva” program for the disposal of the dismissed members of the BiH Armed Forces and hopes that Sweden would be able to continue to offer financial support to this project.

He expressed his support and help to the BiH Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces during a visit to a group of 120 cadets of the Academy of Armed Forces of Sweden to barracks of Armed Forces of BiH.

Minister Osmić especially thanked Colonel Klementson for his selfless dedication to expand defense cooperation during his mandate.

Colonel Klementson said that Sweden has significantly engaged in the work of regional initiatives. “South East Europe Clearinghouse” (SEEC), whose goal is aimed at coordinated action of the partner countries and donors and rationalization of the program would help South East European countries on the path to European integration.

He conveyed his gratitude to the Swedish Academy of the Armed Forces to the BiH Ministry of Defense for helping in the realization of the study tour of the academic staff and cadets, which was realized in BiH in the last four years.
