Good Cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Spain

The members of the BiH Presidency expressed their satisfaction with the visit of Minister Albares, assessing that relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kingdom of Spain are traditionally good and friendly.

They expressed their gratitude to the interlocutor for the good cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Spain so far, with a sincere wish that in the coming period it will be further improved in all relevant areas.

The members of the BiH Presidency thanked Spain for its continuous and strong support in the European integration process of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in obtaining candidate status for membership in the European Union, repeating that Bosnia and Herzegovina has a unique position on its European path.

The meeting announced the continuation of Spain’s support for the European perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the EU enlargement policy and during the Spanish presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2023.
Minister Albares pointed out that Bosnia and Herzegovina will always have a sincere friend in the Kingdom of Spain on its European path, and this is confirmed by the conclusion of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kingdom of Spain in order to deepen cooperation in the field of European integration, with the aim of providing to help Bosnia and Herzegovina on its European path, through the exchange of experiences and knowledge.
