The hearing to order detention for those arrested in the “Tunnel 2” case was scheduled for nine o’clock this morning, but was postponed because the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nenad Nešić, who is among those arrested, fell ill.
As was told to the “Avaz” reporter on site, the hearing should not begin before 11 o’clock.
We remind you that the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after questioning the suspects, submitted a proposal to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to order one-month detention for the Minister of Security Nenad Nešić, as well as for Mladen Lučić and the director of “Putevi RS” Milan Dakić.
The three of them were arrested in the “Tunnel 2” operation, along with four other people.
Earlier, after questioning, Srđan Mijatović and Cvijetin Milivojević from Bijeljina were released, while the director of “Romanijaputevi” Mirko Pandurević was not even handed over to the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Suspects of corruption were arrested in the period from 2016 to 2020.
As a reminder, all were arrested as part of the “Tunnel 2” operation on suspicion that, as managers of the Public Enterprise “Putevi RS” and persons who did business with that company, they committed the criminal offenses of conspiracy to commit criminal offenses, money laundering, abuse of official position or authority, and accepting bribes, BHRT writes.
