The Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nenad Nešić, met today in Sarajevo with the Minister of Internal Affairs of the FBiH, Ramo Isak, and they discussed cooperation between the two ministries and improving the security of citizens and their property.

The focus was on traffic safety, the sanctioning of negligent drivers who repeatedly violate traffic regulations, and preventive measures that can contribute to the greater safety of all traffic participants.

Minister Nešić, expressing his sympathy with the families of the victims of traffic accidents caused by reckless drivers, supported the idea of stricter punishment of those acts and preventive action of the police and judicial institutions.

“Although the Ministry of Security does not have direct authority in that area, it expressed its willingness to contribute to the work of the competent ministries and police agencies, with the aim of improving the legal framework, adopting preventive measures and all other forms of cooperation that can improve the safety of road users,” the Ministry of security of BiH stated.

Also, during the meeting, information was exchanged about the current security situation and key challenges in the work of the two ministries.
