The BiH Minister of Security Fahrudin Radončić received today in Sarajevo the Special Representative of the General Secretary of the UN for Disaster Risk Reduction Margaret Wahlström.

Radončić spoke to Wahlström of the conclusions of the BiH Council of Ministers from 2008 and the First Conference of the Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in BiH.

Radončić assessed that this is the biggest gathering of experts ever held in BiH and dedicated to this topic. The results would be a much better coordination between all institutions in reducing vulnerability to natural disasters or catastrophes caused by people.

Wahlström thanked the BiH Minister of Security for his ability to organize such as respectable gathering and invited him for a new conference that would be held in Geneva.
