A day after the basketball national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated the current European champion Slovenia in the third round of the Eurobasket, the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced that they still expect the promised funds from the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In the days of joy that the basketball representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina gave us, the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina still expects the payment of funds promised by the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, they announced.
The Council of Ministers, at the proposal of the chairman Zoran Tegeltija, made a Decision on approving funds from the current reserve of the Budget of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the international obligations of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the year 2022.
“By decision, the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was granted 200,000 convertible marks (BAM) to finance the preparation of BiH national team members before going to competitions and the purchase of plane tickets for participation in international competitions. Previously, the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina submitted to the Council of Ministers a plan of preparations and activities with the necessary financial resources for the preparations and participation of senior basketball national teams in men’s and women’s competition at the European and World Championships and the youth national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced at the time.
The aforementioned session was held on August 15. Today is September 5th. The money has not been paid. We are still waiting, the association said.
