The creation of national identification cards is a project of national importance, stated the President of RS Željka Cvijanović.

Cvijanović said that the RS wants to use the Serb identification card to identify all its people who live abroad, who want to invest in the RS and use all the benefits that its citizens have.

“This is an upgrade of a project that started a few years ago, and it involved mapping the diaspora,”  said Cvijanović in East Sarajevo.

She clarified that this meant identifying our people, where they are represented today, how they stand within the framework of political and economic life where they live, how they are situated, as well as their data related to the church or involvement in certain organizations and associations .

Cvijanović pointed out that this will be a project of national importance.

“The preparatory work has continued and we already have a good database today, but we want our people to become more intensively active, and finally to have all the rights that the citizens of the RS have and to treat them as people who live here,” said Cvijanović.
