BiH Police prevented another Suicide of a Minor

Two days ago, the team of the Federal Police Administration for the fight against computer crime prevented the suicide of a minor in Tuzla Canton. She posted a message on a social network in which she announced what she intended to do.

The quick reaction of the FUP team, which managed to locate the person and reach the address where she lives through special investigative actions, prevented the loss of one young life. This is the latest case after the one from Olovo, when the same team prevented the suicide of a minor who also announced his intentions on social networks.

According to the federal law on criminal procedure, inspectors do not have permission to directly access the servers of more than 70 telecommunications operators in FBiH, so they cannot immediately react and find the IP address of the person who announced suicide.

“I’m afraid that we won’t always be successful, and then we’ll all carry the person on the other side, if anyone is touched by what I say,” said Saša Petrović, FUP inspector.
