National Park Una and BiH were recently presented at the International Fair Hartshill in the city of Newcastle-under-Lyme in England.
This is the 3rd international fair in this city where until now participated representatives of 40 minorities who live and work in middle England. All of them are trying to show what makes their country’s famous in the world. Exhibitors usually show food, dance or music.
Aida Salkic-Haughton from Cazin made the effort to show the values of BiH this year at the fair in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Englishmen were delighted with the offer from BiH.
“It was a simple opportunity that should not be missed, because to me, as a certified tourist guide for Una-Sana Canton, is important that foreigners learn about the beauty of BiH, and then to visit our country. The fair was a great success and there was a big interest, especially for some of the Bosnian delicacies,” said Salkic-Haughton.
“Shortly after the last year’s marking of the Srebrenica Memorial, Mrs. Andrew approached me and asked if I could participate on the International Fair Hartshill and present BiH to the people of middle England. I was thrilled with the offer,” she added.
Employees and clients of YMCA North Staffordshire participated in the promotion of the beauty of BiH, where Salkic-Haughton has been working for three and a half years.
“Thanks to the company where I work, at the beginning of March, I led delegation of 10 people from England on their way to Sarajevo and Srebrenica. Several people from the group willingly, without any hesitation, offered to help in the promotion of BiH at this fair. Since they visited BiH, they spoke from their own experience about the beauty of our country, primarily how people are friendly and how favorable are the prices of products and services in BiH,” said Salkic-Haughton.
She invited all the tourist boards in BiH to join her in promotion of the beauty of BiH.
