BiH Presidency Member Denis Bećirović spoke with the Ambassador of the United States of America (USA) to Bosnia and Herzegovina Michael Murphy.

Bećirović thanked the United States for its continued support for Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path to full membership in the EU and NATO.

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the cooperation so far and emphasized the importance of continuing the strategic partnership with the aim of strengthening the stability, security and progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region.

Key issues related to bilateral relations were also discussed. BiH Presidency Member Denis Bećirović pointed out the importance of the continuity of the bipartisan support of the United States of America to Bosnia and Herzegovina and its sovereignty and territorial integrity, regardless of whether Republicans or Democrats are in power.

Ambassador Murphy emphasized how important it is for domestic leaders to put the well-being of citizens ahead of personal or party interests.

He particularly emphasized the importance of the Southern Interconnection project, as a transformative energy project aimed at ensuring the energy independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This is in the interest of all peoples and citizens because it strengthens security and economic stability.

The interlocutors emphasized that it is in the interest of everyone in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region to build a peaceful and stable environment, suitable for attracting foreign direct investment.
