The capital of North Macedonia, Skopje, was once again the most polluted city in Europe yesterday, while Sarajevo ranked among the cities with the cleanest air, according to data from the air quality measurement site AQI (World Air Quality Index).
According to this specialized portal, Skopje was in 4th place on the global list yesterday morning around 10 a.m., with a pollution index of 181.
The next most polluted city in the region was Pristina, which ranked 39th with an index of 81.
Belgrade was in 58th place with an index of 62, Zagreb in 62nd place with an index of 58, Ljubljana in 88th place with an index of 42, while Sarajevo ranked 89th with a pollution index of 33, making it one of the cities with the cleanest air in Europe yesterday.
