BiH Presidency Member: Returnees must have adequate Support

The member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, visited Trebinje today where he talked with the residents about the current issues in that city, as well as the challenges faced by the returnees.

As announced by his office, Bećirović also visited the premises of the Islamic Community of Trebinje, where he met with the chief imam of SadikFazlagić.

Fazlagić introduced Bećirović to the current problems of Bosniaks in Trebinje. He pointed out that the cooperation with the local authorities is satisfactory, but that it can be better, and that it is trying to be further improved.

During the meeting between the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, and the chief imam Fazlagić, it was pointed out that the care of returnees in this area is one of the most important issues, and that returnees must have adequate support.

The interlocutors emphasized that without political and economic stability, it is difficult to expect a significant return of Bosniaks to Trebinje.
