”A member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Denis Becirovic, spoke with the members of the group of 22 BiH intellectuals and artists, who addressed the international community and political entities in BiH regarding the current situation in BiH.
The meeting with Becirovic was attended by: academician Esad Durakovic, Miro Lazovic, prof. Ph.D. Hazim Basic, Azra Zornicand Ademir Kenovic. They thanked Becirovic for the reception and conversation in the BiH Presidency building, and expressed their support for his work.
Becirovic told that the activity of intellectuals and artists in the public space is important in facing the challenges in BiH caused by the actions of the authority of the BiH entity of the Republika Srpska (RS).
Members of the BiH group of intellectuals and artists, among other things, said that they demand that political subjects in positions and in the opposition provide decisive resistance to the factors of disintegration, and not to make compromises with them at the expense of the statehood of BiH and the full equality of its citizens and peoples.
The member of the BiH Presidency, Denis Becirovic, recalled that on July 6th this year, he requested the holding of an extraordinary session of the BiH Presidency, where he proposed specific conclusions, among which was a call to the competent international and domestic institutions to urgently take the necessary steps to protect peace and constitutional order in BiHdue to the evident threat to the Dayton Peace Agreement.
A group of 22 BiH intellectuals and artists, who are signatories of the manifesto, are: Esad Bajtal, Hazim Basic, Edin Batlak, Esad Boskailo, Dragan Bursac, Jasna Causevic, Milan Dunovic, Esad Durakovic, Resid Hafizovic, Husnija Kamberovic, Ademir Kenovic, Adil Kulenovic, Miro Lazovic, Jasmin Mujanovic, Dino Mustafic, Emir Nuhanovic, Vahidin Preljevic, Emir Ramic, Lada Sadikovic, Abdulah Sidran, Aisa Telalovic, Azra Zornic,” it was announced from the Cabinet of the member of the BiH Presidency, Denis Becirovic.
