BiH Presidency Member Željko Komšić spoke today with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to BiH, Age Sandal Moller, ahead of this country’s presidency of the European Union starting in July.
As stated in the statement, Moller expressed his country’s support for BiH’s Euro-Atlantic path and emphasized that during their EU presidency, enlargement to the Western Balkans will be treated equally to enlargement to Ukraine and Moldova.
The consistency of the European Union in insisting on European values is important, especially in terms of implementing six judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in the context of the reform of the Election Law, and supporting the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in implementing the rule of law.
“Thank you for the clear positions of the Kingdom of Denmark in the UN Security Council on the issue of attacks on the constitutional order and institutions of our country, and condemning the unconstitutional actions of RS officials, which are causing an escalation of the political situation and a standstill on our country’s European path,” said Komšić.
