Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić and member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović received today the special envoy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for the Western Balkans, Karen Pierce.

Komšić and Bećirović welcomed special envoy Pierce and expressed their satisfaction with the good and friendly relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United Kingdom, as well as with the intense political dialogue and meaningful cooperation in numerous areas, especially on the economic level and in the field of defense.

The common interest and intention to continue and expand cooperation in the fields of energy and infrastructure, as well as other areas that will contribute to better connecting Bosnia and Herzegovina with the region, was highlighted.

The interlocutors emphasized the United Kingdom’s significant support for the reform and integration processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is part of a broader strategic approach aimed at stabilizing the Western Balkans as a basis for the long-term stability of Europe.

On this occasion, Pierce reiterated her support for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the United Kingdom’s commitment to the country’s economic development and European perspective, along with partnership cooperation and engagement within the Berlin process.
