Foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) at the end of February 2023 amounted to 15.37 billion BAM.
Compared to the previous month, a decrease in foreign exchange reserves of 582.3 million BAM (3.7 percent) was recorded, while at the annual level, the foreign currency reserves of the Central Bank of BiH decreased by 975 million BAM (6.0 percent).
Compared to the previous month, in the structure of foreign exchange reserves, investments in securities decreased by 108.9 million BAM (1.6 percent), as well as deposits with non-resident banks by 452.9 million BAM (5.4 percent).
Total loans to domestic sectors at the end of February 2023 amounted to 22 billion BAM and compared to the previous month, an increase of 136.2 million BAM (0.6 percent) was recorded.
Credit growth was registered in the household sector for 32.6 million BAM (0.3 percent), non-financial public companies for 15 million BAM (2.5 percent) and private companies for 105.4 million BAM (1.2 percent).
A decrease in credit growth was registered at government institutions by 10 million BAM (0.9 percent) and at other domestic sectors by 6.7 million BAM (3.9 percent).
The annual growth rate of total loans in February 2023 was 4.5 percent, nominally 952.2 million BAM.
Annual credit growth was registered in the household sector by 562.8 million BAM (5.4 percent), private companies by 342.9 million BAM (3.9 percent) and non-financial public companies by 97.5 million BAM (19.0 percent ).
A decrease in credit growth at the annual level was registered at government institutions by 47.8 million BAM (4.2 percent) and at other domestic sectors by 3.1 million BAM (1.9 percent), data from the Central Bank of BiH show.
