Austria has classified Croatia in the category of safe, ie “stable” countries from which a PCR test is not required upon return to Austria, the Croatian National Tourist Board (CNTB) in Austria learned on Saturday.

The list of risky countries was published last night by the Austrian Ministry of Health, and it includes 32 countries – Egypt, Albania, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kosovo, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro , Nigeria, Northern Macedonia, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Sweden, Senegal, Serbia, South Africa, Turkey, Ukraine, USA and Hubei Province in China.

On July 24th, the Austrian authorities have postponed the implementation of the decision on mandatory quarantine, regardless of the PCR test, and this decision was valid for the inhabitants of “risky countries”, including Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Health Minister Rudolf Anschober said that due to the revision of certain legal regulations, this decision was postponed.

As minister said, the decision from June 15 will be in force, according to which persons from the so-called high-risk countries, including BiH, can enter Austria if they have a negative PCR test, which makes them not subject to quarantine.

Ahmed Husagic, the coordinator for the integration of the Austrian political party SPO, spoke tonight regarding this decision.

“The decision on mandatory quarantine, regardless of the test, has been postponed. Thanks to everyone who supported the action and wrote a complaint to the Ministry of Health. I ask everyone who has not yet sent a complaint to do so in the coming days,” he said.
