Nenad Nešić, the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina believes that during the election of the director of the Penitentiary Institute of Zenica, Rusmir Isak, there was a “political compromise”, but that he should still be given the opportunity to prove himself worthy of the position he was elected to.
“The father and brother are involved in politics, obviously they made a political compromise,” said Nešić for the BHT1 Uživo show.
Nešić agrees that this appointment can also be called nepotism, which, he says, is the practice in our country.
The State Minister of Security explains that the appointment of the director of the Zenica Penitentiary is the responsibility of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that he, as the State Minister, would not interfere.
“I am someone who respects jurisdiction,” he emphasizes.
Nešić considers the relationship with Ramo Isak, the federal minister of MUP, to be correct, regardless of the various stories that follow him, and which, as he emphasizes, he does not want to get into.
“I wouldn’t want to go into the fact that various stories follow him. They follow me too, there are a lot of jealous people who unfoundedly spread those stories,” Nešić believes.
In the conversation, the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina referred to the current situation related to the President of the Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, and on this occasion expressed his support for the President of the RS, calling him the “undisputed leader of Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
“Dodik is not being attacked because he is Milorad Dodik, but because he is the president of the RS. He exposes himself more than Željka Cvijanović, he shows himself to be a decisive factor, he creates the politics of the RS and BiH. Dodik is the undisputed leader of BiH, the leader who protects the RS,” the Minister of Security said, and repeated Dodik’s words about the independence of the RS if a decision on property is imposed.
When asked why there are attacks on returnees in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nešić replies that “someone is deliberately raising tensions so that the returnees do not return to their homes”.
“I have a promise that everyone who attacked the returnees, i.e. the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, will be prosecuted. Someone is deliberately raising national tensions so that the returnees would not return to their homes. I will accompany all those processes to see in which direction they went. I condemn any attack on anyone, I am ready to protect every citizen of BiH and my door is open to everyone. With my authority and position, I will protect all people, everyone must feel safe and everyone must respect the rights in the country guaranteed by the Constitution,” emphasizes Nešić.
