BiH Security Minister: “Isak will not arrest anyone in the RS”

The Minister of Security in the Council of Ministers, Nenad Nesic, assessed that the latest statements by the Minister of the Internal Affairs of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina(FBiH), Ramo Isak, regarding Republika Srpska (RS) and its president Milorad Dodik, represent pressure from Bosniak politicians on the judiciary, and show how “absurd” BiH is.

“Isak will not arrest anyone in the RS”

”The Minister of Police of the Federation says who will go to prison and assumes the role of the judiciary. Obviously, Isak does not know what the presumption of innocence means,” said Nesic.

He added that Isak should familiarize himself with the law, his competences and powers before making any statement.

”Ramo Isak will not arrest anyone in RS neither today, nor tomorrow, nor ever. Apparently Isak is not good at building muscles with exercise, so he decided to try building with the help of the President of RS, Milorad Dodik,” told Nesic.

Assessing “that it is a matter of Bosniak politicians putting pressure on the judiciary”, Nesic stated that they had already condemned Dodik.

”As the Minister of Security, I say that we should all respect the laws and rights, stick to our competences and that only in this way, perhaps, BiH will not look like ‘absurdist’,” said Nesic.

“It is better for him to deal with the rifles found in the Stari Grad (Old Town)“

He pointed out that Dodik is a free man, that he will be and that he will freely perform the function of the president of RS as long as he has the trust of the citizens.

”I recommend Isak to deal with the rifles that were found in the municipality of Stari Grad, what they were prepared for, for whom and what was the intention of acquiring so many rifles, with special reference to the fact that one rifle was not found during the search. Let him deal with where that one rifle is and whether, perhaps, it was intended for some criminal act,” Nesicconcluded.

Federal Minister of Internal Affairs Ramo Isak said two days ago that “Dodik needs to face the truth and that the truth is that his ‘‘realistic alternative’ is prison.”, Avaz reports.
