BiH Security Minister: Serbs are not on a Platter of other people’s Interests

“Christian Schmidt has been staying in Bosnia and Herzegovina for a long time thinking that he is a high representative. He is not, he is actually a tourist. He has been advertising for months on various issues thinking that his word means something. In real politics, his word does not change anything. It is the same with his by signing a paper that they lied to him about as being a law” is stated in the reaction of the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nenad Nešić, to yesterday’s imposed changes to the Election Law brought by High Representative Schmidt.

“It is not a law, we make laws in our legal and democratic institutions. Christian Schmidt was lied to by those who push him ideas that can only sink Bosnia and Herzegovina into a deep crisis, in their insane geopolitical games that should make us nations on a platter, and not nations in the heart of Europe. The Serbs and the Serbian people do not agree to that. And clearly and loudly as Serbs we must say a decisive and strong NO, worthy of our glorious history and our fathers who created the Republika Srpska. What Schmidt signed puts BiH in colonial status, only in the colonies is the Parliament suspended and the laws are passed by a foreigner. Such a decision completely renders not only the election process meaningless, but the very institution of elections. The meaning of elections in every country in the world is the election of deputies whose sole task is to enact laws. Dear partners, what is the meaning of elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, if the laws are not passed by the deputies but imposed by an individual, a foreigner? We have been discussing changes to the Election Law for a year. Republika Srpska did not set a single condition or demand. The conditions were set by the parties from the Federation.” Nesic said.

Nešić called on the partners to adopt the changes in the BiH Parliament.

“All technical changes are acceptable for Republika Srpska. That’s why I once again call on our partners to adopt amendments to the Election Law in the BiH Parliament, which are almost all harmonized. If the goal is the Election Law, we can do it tomorrow. If the goal is to humiliate Bosnia and Herzegovina and above all its peoples, Republika Srpska, I emphasize again that they will not participate in that and will not agree to it.” concluded Nešić, N1 writes.
